Dear Heidelberg University student,

The University of Copenhagen and NATO Public Diplomacy Division have invited the Heidelberg University to participate in the NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg’s webinar on ‘Climate Change and Security’ to be delivered via Zoom on 28th September 2020, 16:00-17:00 to students drawn from NATO member countries. This is a unique opportunity for Heidelberg University students to gain unrivalled insight into the security challenges facing NATO and Europe for the next decade and to engage with a NATO Secretary-General who is very keen to listen to student perspectives on the challenges.

The Heidelberg University has been granted 100 Zoom virtual ‘seats’ for the webinar. We are keen to draw upon the diverse community here at the University and this event is being advertised to all Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.

  • The 100 Zoom virtual ‘seats’ will be allocated on a ‘first come’ basis by registration with NATO using the following link: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_e54GczgrQIqCmaqE3sGmMg
  • Students allocated a seat will be ‘in’ the webinar and while a silent participant will have the capability to pose questions to the Secretary-General using the Zoom chat function.
  • We do not want those who miss out on a ‘seat’ to be excluded so NATO will live stream the webinar on the NATO website: www.nato.int

Secretary-General Stoltenberg will be introduced by the University of Copenhagen Rector Dr. Henrik C. Wegener and the event will be moderated by Carnegie Europe Director, Dr. Rosa Balfour.
